Feed one orphan in Sudan for one month with every order of a bag of coffee!

May 1  - Pray for the 1455 individuals who trusted in Christ alone for their
salvation on Dean’s last trip to Rukengeri, Uganda.  He worked alongside the
Call To Africa team with Dr. Ken Galyean and they saw a great harvest by the
Lord.

May 2 – Pray for Melaku Abebe who was just appointed as our Northeast
Regional Director for Africa.  His recent trip to Sudan went very well.

May 3 – Pray for the increase in orders for CrossWay Coffee Ministry so we
might be able to meet the needs of the 499 orphans near the region of
Darfur, Sudan.  We are making progress but still need more orders and help
to feed these kids.  Your order of one bag for coffee will feed one orphan
for one month.

May 4  - Pray for more milk cows for the orphans in Sudan. We were able to
purchase two on the last visit into this village where the orphans live.
Pray that the VBS of several churches might help meet this need.

May 5 –  - Pray for Moses and Pastor Samuel who oversee the management of
the orphans and for wisdom in restructuring some of our procedures in caring
for them.

May 6  - Pray for the health of these orphans as the rainy season is fast
approaching and with the rain comes the mosquitoes and malaria. Pray for
their protection.

May 7 – Pray for the water well we plan to drill in Mombasa, Kenya and for
Bob Nicol who heads this up.  Bob is planning on flying there around May 18
and will be there for 10 days or so to make sure things go right.  He does
this at his own cost and is a very valued fellow soldier in our work.

May 8 – Pray for the follow up on the 1455 new believers in Rukengeri,
Uganda and that the pastors in that area will care for them.

May 9  - Pray for Dean as he recovers from his last trip to Africa.  He was
quite sickly on this last trip and will be hopefully back to full strength
by this time.

May 10  - Pray for the CrossWay Christian School near the Darfur, Sudan
region as we undergo some major restructuring.

May 11 – Pray that we are able to get more Bibles to the orphans.  We sent
in 300 last month and have another 200 to send to the orphans.  A special
thanks to First Baptist Church in Boerne for these Bibles.

May 12 – Pray for Rachel Chollar Beasley who has been in the hospital for a
short time last month with severe morning sickness as she is pregnant with
twins and has two small little girls at home. Pray that she is able to keep
food down.  On her last two pregnancies her morning sickness lasted 24/7 for
5 months.

May 13 – Pray for Dean as Joan is staying in the D.C. area with Rachel to
help her through this very difficult time.  Joan is the office manager and
is trying to keep up with things long distance.

May 14 – Pray for our CrossWay Coffee Ministry Coordinators in various
churches and locations. They play an important role in the ordering of
coffee and assistance we need to generate support for our orphans.  Pray too
for Robert Messier and Sherry Zule our project managers over this ministry.

May 15  - Pray that if you are a coffee drinker that you might order coffee
from us.  It is Fair Trade, organic coffee of the highest quality.

May 16 – Pray for Dean’s schedule as things are a bit chaotic with Joan in
the D.C. area and he is trying to keep the office running smoothly without
her. This will probably limit the traveling he is wanting to do.

May 17 – Pray for Trevor Smothers as he makes plans to leave next month for
Ethiopia and serve as the assistant to Melaku Abebe.  He is fully supported
for this trip but is hoping to see the Lord bring in more so that we might
be able to install a septic tank on our medical clinic property in Meki,
Ethiopia.

May 18 – Pray for doctors in the Addis Ababa area who might man the medical
clinic from time to time in Meki, Ethiopia which is a city of 60,000 people
without any doctor.

May 19 – Pray that the water distribution system and tank might be finished
in Meki, Ethiopia on our medical clinic property.

May 20  - Pray for the needed funding of water wells in Leunh-Wala, Sudan,
Tanzania and other locations targeted for such work.

May 21 – Pray for Bethany Chollar Wainio, Dean and Joan’s youngest daughter
as she recently had a baby too.  (Eli Kenneth Wainio) He is their second
child and Dean and Joan’s tenth grandbaby.

May 22 – Pray for boldness as we consider those we might share our faith in
Christ with.

May 23 – Pray for more laborers to assist us in the work in Africa and
elsewhere.  We are praying for an American who might fill the administrative
head of the English School in Ethiopia.

May 24 – Pray for Dean and more opportunities to preach the gospel.  One
such opportunity may be in Nicaragua with some friends with whom he worked
in Uganda on his last trip.

May 25 – Pray for Melaku Abebe as he will be going to Mombasa for the
dedication service of the new well and water distribution system for this
church and area.

May 26 – Pray for the clear teaching of the gospel so that no one goes
without understanding the great grace of God offered to them for salvation.

May 27 – Pray for Clyde Watts who works with the Pepsi Cola Company and his
desire to be more fully used as an evangelist in Africa.

May 28 –  - Pray for a young lady who has expressed an interest in checking
out a ministry with our orphans in Sudan.  Pray for God’s leading and wisdom
for her.

May 29  - Pray for the spreading of the gospel that it might spread rapidly
and be honored even as it is among you.

May 30  - Pray for the safety of those who travel into more dangerous areas
to take the gospel of God’s grace around the world.

May 31  - Pray right now for the salvation of someone you know and the
concrete step you might take to bring God’s love and grace to them.
