Prayer Calendar for Dean and Joan Chollar with CrossWay International
January 2010
www.gocrossway.org

Dean and Joan and our staff, both here in the USA and overseas, want to wish
you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

January 1 – Pray for the upcoming year of 2010 and that we might all be more
devoted to the Lord and His work.

January 2 – Pray for our 549 orphans in Sudan and especially for the clothes
they need, as they only have what is on their backs.  We are hoping to buy
some clothes soon for them if we can get a good price in the area where they
live.  Also, milk cows and milk goats.

January 3- Pray for our staff in the USA as we settle into our routine of
defining roles and work assignments.

January 4- Pray for greater courage and boldness as each of us has the
opportunity to share the gospel of God’s grace.

January 5 – Pray for Dr. Isaiah Dau and Mr. Ken Gatithi as they travel from
Nairobi, Kenya into Sudan to check on the orphans and their needs. This will
be a great help as they know the culture and Isaiah speaks Denka.

January 6- Pray for the decisions concerning the management team and
coworker’s job descriptions in Sudan who look after the orphans. Isaiah and
Ken will be making recommendations of how best to restructure some of the
oversight in this ministry.

January 7 – Pray for Dean as he travels to Arizona to teach at a Youth
Retreat led by Allen Mann.

January 8  - Pray for the youth in Arizona that their hearts will be open to
receive what Dean teaches at this Youth Retreat.

January 9 – Pray for Allen and Sheree Mann as they wrestle with certain
health concerns with their children. 3 of their children are adopted and
have concerns that they acquired from their birth mothers.

January 10- Pray for the ability to take on more coworkers to strengthen
various areas of our ministry.

January 11- Pray for the return travel of Dean from the Arizona area and
also for the return travel of Isaiah and Ken from their visit to oversee the
orphans in Sudan.

January 12 – Pray for Sherry Zule, our manager of the CrossWay Coffee
Ministry, as she develops this ministry which provides easily half of the
needed funds just to feed the orphans in Sudan.  Pray that this ministry
might expand and grow, and that more churches might work with us to provide
even more help for these kids.

January 13 – Pray for more opportunities for each of us to share the gospel
of God’s grace this year of 2010.

January 14 – Pray for Dean as he lines up his speaking engagements for this
quarter and the next one.  If you or your church would like Dean to come and
speak, please let him know.  dean@gocrossway.org

January 15 – Pray for the 3 who have made application with CrossWay
International to become missionaries to various fields where God is already
working through us.

January 16 – Pray for the 9 men who are being invited to join our Board of
Directors and that this new infusion of gifted men might move us forward to
achieve all that God brings our way.

January 17 – Pray that as we move forward, that attention will be given to
the clarity of the gospel of God’s grace. By grace alone, through faith
alone, in Christ alone.

January 18 – Pray for Anna Ochoa, our Executive Assistant, as she assumes
more and more responsibility and important work in our ministry.

January 19 – Pray for the 8 to 10 members of those planning to go to
Nicaragua this June and for all the needed prayer and support for this
mission trip.  Pray for Kyle Parsons, too, who is making plans to go to
Ethiopia for 6 weeks this summer.

January 20 – Pray for Robert Messier, our General Manager, who suffers from
a broken back he received in the Navy, and for his critical help in
overseeing aspects of our ministry.

January 21 – Pray for Dean as he speaks in the Chapel of San Antonio
Christians School and challenges the youth to see beyond themselves and
serve God with a pure heart.

January 22 – Pray for Rita Chapman, our accountant who is managing our
various accounts and keeping all our books updated and straight.  Pray for
her son, too, who is looking for a job.

January 23 – Pray for the spreading of the gospel of God’s grace, that it
might spread swiftly and be honored even as it is among us.

January 24 – Pray for Bob Nicol, our Engineer who oversees and gives
direction for our well drilling. And pray for the possibility of acquiring
our own drilling rig to facilitate this ministry.  Pray, too, for his
support needs, as he has worked on his own dime for most of this work.

January 25 – Pray for Merle Admire, our Master Electrician, who is praying
about his transition to part-time or full-time work with us to help oversee
various aspects of our ministry overseas.

January 26 – Pray for the safety of those bringing the gospel into more
unstable parts of the world.

January 27 – Pray for Dean and the learning curve he has to acquire certain
skills with new software and equipment designed for the blind.

January 28 – Pray for the many non-paid staff who keep our computers and
facilities in good working order. Brian Bond has sacrificially given us his
time and computing expertise as well as many others.  Just to name a few
more:  Ralph Stephenson, Bob Dibble, Bob Messier, and Rudy Nadler have taken
care of the building/grounds needs, Ronnie Brown and Merle Admire with the
electrical needs and John Pritchett and Dennis Sundin with firewood to keep
us warm. Say a special prayer of thanks for these gifted men and all they
do.  And our Coffee Ambassadors are too many to mention!

January 29 – Pray for Dean as he travels to the Arlington, Texas area to
speak in a Chapel of a Christian School and challenge hearts.

January 30 – Pray for the lost whom God brings into your life. You may be
the one God wants to use to share his message of love and grace.

January 31- Pray for Dean as he preaches and challenges hearts in the area
of evangelism and discipleship.
