Prayer Calendar for Dean and Joan Chollar
October 2010
One special request: Joan is in North Carolina visiting her mother who suffers from congestive heart disease. She should be back by Sept. 28.
October 1 — Pray for our new CrossWay Gift Cube that we are developing to use as an evangelistic tool. We hope to have it up on the internet and make it available for all.
October 2 – Pray for our Board of Directors meeting for CrossWay International as we meet together and discuss future plans and projects.
October 3 – Pray for the booklet that Dean is working on which clearly sets out the passage of James 2. This critical passage is misunderstood by many pastors overseas, especially.
October 4 – Pray for Dean as he makes plans and preparations for his trip to Kenya, Ethiopia and possibly Sudan on November 4.
October 5 – Pray for Robert and Ann Messier as they visit various prayer partners and share their heart concerning their calling as missionaries to Nicaragua. Pray for their prayer and support needs.
October 6 – Pray for the wife of Moses. Moses cares for our 549 orphans, and his wife may have appendicitis, which is hard to treat in their location. She may have to go to Khartoum.
October 7 – Pray for Bob Nicol and Merle Admire, our newly appointed Regional Directors, as they seek God’s help and leading for their mission work. We are asking that God might raise up prayer partners to free them up for more ministry work.
October 8 – Pray for a video we are making that sets out the prayer requests and needs for our new division within CrossWay International, CrossWay Water for Life.
October 9 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh who is a highly skilled Christian Counselor. Pray for his prayer and support needs so he can work more fully with CrossWay International.
October 10 – Pray for Rafael (and Darling) Rivas as we discuss our working relationship. He was recently appointed as our Field Director for Central America and has an important role in lining up our mission trips.
October 11 – Pray for our Pastor’s Conference scheduled for the end of January, 2011, in Masaya, Nicaragua. We anticipate 100 pastors attending.
October 12 – Pray for the opening of the Medical Clinic in Meki, Ethiopia on November 13. Dean will be speaking at this opening and sharing the gospel with many.
October 13- Pray for Melaku Abebe, our northeast Africa Field Director, and his many ministries he oversees for us.
October 14 – Pray for the $15,000 we need to finish Phase One for our water well drilling ministry.
October 15– (Friday) Dean leaves for Atlanta area where he will meet with Mark and Shelley Goode. Pray for opportunities for him to share his faith.
October 16- Pray for greater boldness and to be a model of how to share your faith without being a jerk.
October 17 – Dean speaks at Grace Community Fellowship in Newnan, Georgia. Pray that his message will be clear and well received.
October 18 – Dean flies back to Texas and asks for prayers to share his faith.
October 19- Pray for Ken Gatithi and his wife, Winnie. Ken was recently appointed CEO of CrossWay International Kenya and will be overseeing our CrossWay Water for Life ministry with Dean and Bob Nicol.
October 20- Pray for Philip Piol, the Head Master of our CrossWay Christian School in Sudan where our orphans live. We hope to get him a new laptop and dictionaries for the 10 teachers he supervises.
October 21 – Pray for the safety and health of our 549 orphans, as cholera and other diseases are a constant threat.
October 22 – Pray for Francisco (and Jasmine) Caldera as he serves as a Field Director in Nicaragua. He is assisting Rafa in planning the Pastors’ Conference for January.
October 23 – Dean asks for prayer as he leaves for the Arlington, TX area where he will stay with the Halls. Pray that his neck and shoulder muscles hold up with all this traveling.
October 24 – Pray for Dean as he preaches at PSBC in Arlington, his sending church.
October 25 – Pray again for Dean as he climbs back on a plane and that he might have a good chance to share his faith in various airports.
October 26 – Pray for our ministry team that is being formed to go to Matagalpa, Nicaragua to minister to the school kids and do some teaching of pastors in the area.
October 27- Pray for the CrossWay Bible Church which was just started in Sudan. They need a large hut/building in which they can meet.
October 28 – Pray that God will bring the right coworkers in to our ministry, as the harvest is great.
October 29 – Pray for Dean’s stamina as travel picks up.
October 30 – Pray for Dean as he flies again back to the Arlington area and for his chance to share his faith in Christ.
October 31 – Pray for Dean as he preaches in a new church in Cleburne, TX and that we might connect well.
