Prayer Calendar for Dean and Joan Chollar with CrossWay International
Special prayer request: If you have the email address of an American or European missionary serving in Liberia, please let me know. I plan to be there in late April and would like to contact them before then. Dean
March 1 – Pray for Dean as he returns from preaching at one of our supporting churches in Maryland and that he might remain healthy. In terms of health, please pray for our valued coworker, Rafael Rivas, who is struggling with an infection that is very difficult to cure. Pray for the specialist he will be seeing and the meds he needs to cure this.
March 2 – Pray for the cost of having more CrossWay Gift Cubes made. They will cost around $6,000 but are very effective in sharing the grace of God and the plan of salvation. (see http://gocrossway.org/about/store/products/9-gift-cube/ )
March 3 – Pray for more coworkers to assist us in the work of the ministry. (Luke 10:2)
March 4 – Pray for our General Account and Operating Expenses at CrossWay International. We have had a lot of designated donations which sometimes draws down our cash flow and makes certain efforts difficult to handle in our office.
March 5 – Pray for the Bibles we need for various upcoming Pastor’s Conferences in Kenya and Liberia. Many pastors overseas do not have a Bible, or sometimes they just have a New Testament.
March 6 – Pray for greater boldness on all our parts to share the good news of how we can be certain of heaven by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Not by the sweat of man, but by the blood of Christ.
March 7 – Pray for the medical supplies and equipment we need to get our license to open the clinic in Meki, Ethiopia. See http://gocrossway.org/wherewework/ethiopia/ – go to bottom of page and click on the link to see a list of supplies needed for the clinic in Meki.
March 8 – Pray for the compressor and air hammer that we badly need to drill in some areas of Kenya. This is needed to penetrate some rock strata and costs around $14,000 for a used one.
March 9 – Pray for Dean’s upcoming mission trip and Pastor’s Conference in Liberia at the end of April. Pray for Malcolm Harris and Isaac Zoedah as they invite pastors to come and make all arrangements. Also, Malcolm is slowly recovering from Typhoid.
March 10 – Pray for the drilling of a well in San Benito, Nicaragua, as this community must now walk 6 miles to retrieve fresh, clean drinking water.
March 11 – Pray for Merle Admire as he heads up the water well drilling ministry in Central America and for his personal prayer and support needs.
March 12 – Pray for Robert (and Ann) Messier who serves as our American Director for Nicaragua and the teams he is pulling together for several mission trips to this country. Pray, too, for his enrollment at Moody Bible Institute for online courses.
March 13 – Pray for Bob Nicol who is heading up the water well drilling ministry in Kenya and for the funding of the many located and requested wells in this country.
March 14 – Pray for the many opportunities that God is and will provide to share not only safe drinking water, but also the evangelistic events that are provided through all of our other ministries to help the hurting.
March 15 – Pray for Dean as he starts his travels to Kenya, an “undisclosed country,” and Ethiopia. Pray for his health and stamina.
March 16 – Pray for Dean as he arrives in Kenya to handle issues regarding our water well drilling ministry in this country.
March 17 – Pray for Ken Gatithi, the manager of our water well drilling ministry in Kenya, and for his family. Ken plays a key role in overseeing all the finances of this ministry.
March 18 – Pray for Geoffrey Ndungu, our superintendent in the field who oversees and drills our wells in Kenya.
March 19 – Pray for Dean as he travels to an undisclosed country to check out ministry opportunities in this country.
March 20 – Pray for Dean as he preaches in an undisclosed location and for his safety, as this area is hostile to the gospel.
March 21 – Pray for Dean as he travels to Ethiopia from an undisclosed country to visit Melaku and Sosi Abebe. Pray, too, for Melaku and his prayer and support needs as he serves as our Ethiopian Field Director and oversees a wide number of ministries.
March 22 – Pray for Dean as he visits Melaku and Sosi Abebe and checks things out at our Medical Clinic in Meki. This is a city of 60,000 without any medical facility.
March 23 – Pray for Dean as he flies from Ethiopia back to Kenya to finish up some work and detail concerning our office work and ministries in both Kenya and Sudan.
March 24 – Pray for Ken Gatithi and Emmanuel Dimleck whom we plan to send into Sudan to visit our 549 orphans and review all the accounting and various ministries associated with this village. Emmanuel plans to stay for a month and strengthen the 10 teachers of the CrossWay Christian School in their English.
March 25 – Pray for Dean as he starts back home from Kenya, and for opportunities in the airports and in the planes to share his faith in Christ.
March 26 – Pray for Dean as he arrives back home in Texas and for a quick recovery from jetlag and general fatigue.
March 27 – Pray for all of us that we will be clear when sharing our faith: Not by the sweat of man but by the blood of Christ - by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone who died for our sins and rose from the dead.
March 28 – Pray for Rafa (and Darling) Rivas, who serves as our Central America Field Director, and his prayer and support needs. Pray, too, for the upcoming mission trips and his involvement in overseeing the Pastor’s Conferences, well drilling ministry, and evangelistic events by our teams.
March 29 – Pray for Francisco (and Jasmine) Caldera who serves as our Nicaraguan Field Director and his various ongoing ministries in this country. He plays a huge role in leading our evangelistic teams who visit Nicaragua. Pray, too, for a new Income Generating ministry of making bricks to build churches and schools which he is heading up.
March 30 – Pray for unity and harmony with all our various coworkers and associates. We have a lot going on, and it’s easy to get off track without good communication and humble spirits.
March 31 – Pray right now for someone you know who needs Christ in their life, and make a decision to contact them and see how the Lord leads in using you to share the gospel of God’s grace.
