I will be back in Kenya on June 9 to visit this community and preach the gospel with Bob Nicol.

 

June 1 – Pray that the water well for the Kangundo D E B Primary & Visually- impaired School inKangundo, Kenya will be completed by this date.  Pray that it will be used to bring many to faith in Christ.

 

June 2 – Dean heads off for Liberia to check out other water well drilling needs for the truly hurting of this country.  Please pray for some good meetings while on this trip with Bob Nicol and God’s clear leading.

 

June 3 – Pray that God might expand our tent and allow us to take on more work in His kingdom for His harvest of the lost.  We are looking at several new workers.

 

June 4 – Pray for the 32 Pastors that Bruce McIntosh and Dean taught in Liberia and that they might use the teaching materials to strengthen the churches in their faith.  We hope to have our latest prayer letter uploaded soon at:  http://gocrossway.org/whatsnew/prayer-letter/

 

June 5 – Pray for the drilling of a water well in the Sijoa Primary School Busai District  (Sango’s well) for the Love In Action ministry in Kenya and that it will be used to draw many to faith in Christ. Our water well drill team is scheduled to leave on this date to start this well.

 

June 6 – Pray for Joe Shepard as he comes alongside CWI to oversee the various financial spreadsheets and assist Dean and Robert Messier in keeping up with all these costs for the many overseas ministries on our lists.

 

June 7 – Pray for Bruce and Debbie McIntosh, that God will find a time for them to travel to Texas to visit with the various staff members and missionaries with CWI.  Bruce serves as our Member Care Director and as an Instructor at various Pastor’s Conferences.  Continue to pray for his support needed for his personal needs and travel to Texas, Liberia, Nicaragua, Kenya and elsewhere.  See Bruce’s latest prayer letter at:  http://gocrossway.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/Bruce-McIntosh-prayer-letter-0520111.pdf

 

June 8 – Pray for Dean and Bob as they travel on a red eye flight from Monrovia, Liberia to Nairobi, Kenya.  Bob hopes to teach hygiene at the Kionyweni well site which we drilled in May and share his faith in Christ. Dean plans to preach the gospel and his Make It Clear! Seminar.

 

June 9 – Pray for Dean as he works with our Financial Manager in setting up and improving the books at our office in Kenya.

 

June 10 – Pray for our drilling team in Kenya as they work on the water well at the Sijoa Primary School      Busai District. There are many areas that water well drilling teams do not travel to, due to the distance and difficulties of travel. This is one of them.

 

June 11 – Pray for our remaining orphans in Sudan (58), as most have been taken in by families in the villages near them. Pray that God will lead us on how best to proceed to care for many other needy kids.

 

June 12 – Pray for Dean as he starts his 2 day trip back from Africa to the USA and that he was able to get all things done while on this trip.

 

June 13 – Pray for the many undernourished children in Ethiopia that have come to our attention and how we might intervene to assist them with a follow-up visit to their homes in order to share food and the gospel with them.

 

June 14 – Pray for the needed support for the blind and visually-impaired kids we are taking on in Kenya (the Sijoa Primary School Busai District) mentioned above. Dean led two of the 40 to the Lord on his last trip to Kenya.

June 16 – Pray for the 229 kids presently enrolled at the CrossWay Christian School.

 

June 17 – Pray for Isaac Zoedah as we prayerfully consider taking him on as our coworker for our ministry in Liberia. He presently teaches at a school with Save the Children and also pastors a church.

 

June 18 – Pray for Rafa Rivas (our Field Director for Central America) and for Francisco Caldera (our Field Director for Nicaragua) as they make plans to host three teams we are sending from the USA at the end of this month through July 5.

 

June 19 – Pray for Robert and Ann Messier, our missionaries to the country of Nicaragua.  Robert serves both as our General Manager in the USA office (part-time) and as the Director for this country. He also starts Moody Bible Institute this coming September.

 

June 20 – Pray for Melaku Abebe as he purchases medical equipment and supplies for our clinic in Meki, Ethiopia so that we might obtain the needed license to get this clinic opened and operating.

 

June 21 – Pray for two teams headed to Nicaragua:

Pray for Merle Admire and the team of 6 that he is taking to Nicaragua and for a fruitful time of harvest as they share the gospel of God’s grace with the lost.  Dean will also be going with two pastors to teach at the Pastor’s Conference in Masaya.  Merle also hopes to get one or two water wells drilled.

 

June 22 – Pray that God will allow the right Pastors to attend the Pastors Conference taught by Michael Bannon and Andy Robinson and Dean. Pray that God will use these men to strengthen the faith of these church leaders in Nicaragua.

 

June 23 – Pray for Merle Admire and his co-leader, Mike Brooks, as they lead their team in Nicaragua and look into the drilling of a well in two locations. They will also be holding meetings to share their testimony and the gospel with these communities.

 

June 24 – Pray for great clarity in sharing the gospel. It’s not our good things that get us into heaven but our bad things we do that can keep us out. That is why it is not by our works but by grace through faith in Christ alone.

 

June 25 – Pray for the last day of the Pastor’s Conference and for the community of San Benito. We hope to have drilled a well in this community before leaving Nicaragua.

 

June 26 – Pray for the churches where Andy, Michael, and Dean will preach and that many will be challenged in their faith. Pray for Merle and Mike Brooks, too, who will be preaching at other churches in Nicaragua.

 

June 27 and 28 – Pray for the return of our two groups from Nicaragua back to the USA. Pray for safety and a good time of reflecting on all that God has done in and through us.

And pray for Robert and Ann Messier’s team as they leave for the Matagalpa, Nicaragua area to continue their ministry to needy kids and evangelism. Their son, Jacob, is going with them, as well as a dear friend, Pam Palmer, from Payson, Arizona.

 

June 29 – Pray for many opportunities for each of us to share our faith in Christ. (Col. 4:3)

 

June 30 – Pray that each of us would take to heart the first recorded words of Jesus to his disciples, “Come after me and I will make you fishers of men.”  (Matt. 4:19)  If we are not fishing for men, are we really coming after Christ?
