September 1 – Pray for the thousands coming to faith in Christ through our various ministries in Kenya, Ethiopia, Liberia, Nicaragua and beyond. God is blessing!
September 2 – Pray for Dean as he cuts back a bit this month off from his heavy travel schedule (Lord willing) and for the office work that has piled up over the year. His only trip is to Nicaragua the second week of September to hold two evangelistic events at 2 towns where we have drilled wells. .
For Liberia:
September 3 – Pray that God might provide 2 good vehicles we can ship from the USA to Liberia: a good quality 4 by 4 vehicle and a pickup truck to assist us in our water well ministry and care of orphans and needy kids in this country which is still recovering from a long and bloody civil war. If you know of someone who has such vehicles, please let us know.
September 4 – Pray for the work on our office/guest house in Liberia. We should have the flooring down soon but still have a ways to go.
September 5 – Pray for the meds we need at our clinic in Bassa, Liberia and for Jackie Zeon who is heading up this clinic. Also, pray for the license which we should have soon to open this clinic. (see pictures on our website – Bassa clinic )
September 6- Pray for Isaac Zoedah, our Field Director for Liberia as he manages our various ministries in this country and provides excellent leadership with great integrity. (See his brochure: here )
September 7 – Pray for Moses Teah, our new bookkeeper in Liberia, as he assists us with the various financial spreadsheets.
September 8 – Pray for our 50 orphans and needy kids in Liberia as many need school uniforms and books for the upcoming school year. (See pictures here)
For Nicaragua:
September 9 – Pray for our Field Director Francisco Caldera as he is learning to manage more and more of our projects and for his organizational skills. (See his recent prayer letter here )
Also pray for Gary Jones as he goes to survey and organize future Pastor Conferences in Nicaragua on this date.
September 10 – Pray for the water well which should be completed at San Juan and that it will result in many coming to trust in Christ alone for their salvation. Dean leaves on this date to preach the gospel to them. (See pictures here)
September 11 – Pray for the 4 feeding centers we assist and for toys for the impoverished kids that we need for this Christmas. (See pictures)
September 12 – Pray for Grace Aragon, our new bookkeeper for Nicaragua, and that she might be able to come with CWI to help lead the women’s and children’s ministry as a full-time missionary. And for Jamil Calero, our coworker, who is presently attending the Rio Grande Bible Institute.
September 13 – Pray for the donated land to CWI at Luguna Apoya and for the needed funds to finish all 3 phases of our office/guest/conference center. (See pictures )
September 14 – Pray for an evangelistic event that we hope to hold at Los Velasquez, now that the electric pump was successfully installed. (See pictures: Here)
September 15 – Pray for the 18 who trusted in Christ at the church in Masaya when Dean preached there last month and for their growth and needed follow up.
September 16 – Pray for our application for NGO status in Nicaragua. Francisco is working on this with our attorney.
For Kenya:
September 17 – Pray that the well at the Masewani Primary School will be finished by this date and that Dean will have an opportunity in October to speak there when he travels to Kenya. (See pictures)
September 18 – Pray for Ken, Winnie and Geoffrey who make up our main team in Kenya and for the many wells on our list to drill as well as our 40+ blind orphans and needy kids. (See pictures)
For Ethiopia:
September 19 – Pray for Melaku Abebe our Field Director for Ethiopia and his wife Sosi. They are overseeing our upcoming trip to Ethiopia from October 25 – November 5. (See his brochure: here )
September 20 – Pray for the medical team going on this mission trip and that we will be able to care for the many kids and mothers of the town of Meki, Ethiopia. (Picture of clinic in Meki )
September 21 – Pray for the Christian Way School in Meki which we hope to start at the beginning of this month. We should have 60 kids enrolled who would not otherwise be able to go to school. (See pictures)
September 22 – Pray for the Pastors Conference we plan to sponsor on this upcoming trip to Ethiopia and that Melaku will have everything well organized.
September 23 – Pray for Melaku and his other ministry responsibilities and for Sosi as she starts a jewelry making ministry to support orphans and needy kids.
For the USA Staff and Missionaries:
September 24 – Pray for Joe and Barb Shepard as they visit Kenya. Joe is our Overseas Financial Advisor and will be assisting our coworkers in organizing the books, visiting the Rift Valley and orphans and needy kids.
September 25 – Pray for Gary Jones, our International Training Director and faith missionary. He is taking on more and more with 2 scheduled Pastors Conferences: one in Ethiopia in late October/early November; and the second week of January in Nicaragua. We also have a tentative plan for a possible Pastors Conference in Tanzania this December. (See his info at: note – Prayer letter , and Gary’s webpage )
September 26 – Pray for Robert and Ann Messier. Robert wears a lot of hats and he and Ann are faith missionaries with plans to lead another team this January to Nicaragua. (See his page)
September 27 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh as he serves as our Member Care Director and as a faith missionary. He is considering his options for upcoming mission trips and we pray that God might support him more and more to assist us in the task of reaching the lost and hurting of the world. September 28 – Pray for Merle Admire, another of our faith Missionaries. He serves as our Water Well Director and is overseeing much of the work in our 4 active countries. (See his brochure: here)
September 29 – Pray for our staff in the office in the USA and for the growing work load. Joan – Office Manager; Robert – General Manager (part-time); Danielle – Executive Assistant; Rita – Accountant; and Dean (not sure what he does, exactly?) J
September 30 – Pray for each of our faith missionaries, (foreign and American) as they each look to the Lord to support their ministries and to enable them to serve more effectively. Contact us if you would like to support one of them)
September 31 – And pray for each other, that we might pray for more opportunities to share God’s message of grace. That it is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, who died for our sins and rose from the dead.
