Special prayer request:
Pray for Merle Admire, our Water Well Director.  At the time of writing this note, he is in Nicaragua (April 23 – 30) finishing up the water well for Las Velasques. Pray for his ongoing prayer and support needs and that the well is up and running. (See his brochure here.)

May 1 – Pray for a number of young married couples with whom Dean is counseling and who are struggling. Pray for restoration in their marriages.

May 2- Pray for upcoming mission trips for Dean and others to Kenya, Nicaragua, Ethiopia and Liberia. Also, we still need a doctor for our mission trip to Ethiopia Oct. 25 – Nov. 4.

May 3- Pray for Dean as he leaves for Kenya to visit the ongoing ministries in this country: He will conduct a Pastors Conference in Busia region, visit orphans and needy kids and oversee drilling of a water well.

May 4 – Pray for Gary Jones, our International Training Director, who returned from Kenya recently and for the impact of his teaching and preaching while there. Pray for his move to Boerne and his required monthly support to enable his service for the Lord. (for more on Gary, click here.)

May 5 Pray for Robert Messier, our missionary to Nicaragua, as he and Ann organize the upcoming 11 member mission team to this country in July. Pray for their ongoing prayer and support needs and for Robert’s classes at Moody Bible Institute. (See their brochure here)

May 6 – Pray for Dean as he preaches in a church in Ruiru, an area just outside of Nairobi, Kenya.

May 7 – Pray for Dean as he travels to Kisumu, Kenya to teach a Pastors conference in the area of Busia.

May 8 –  Pray for Joe Shepard, our Overseas Manager/Advisor, as he and Barb make plans to visit one of our mission fields to encourage our national coworkers and oversee their financial records.

May 9 – Pray for Dean as he visits some of the orphans and needy kids we support in Kenya. These are the blind kids at the Kangundo Primary School. ( www.gocrosswaykids.org)

May 10 – Pray for Dean as he arrives back in the USA from Kenya and for his stamina and quick recovery from jetlag.

May 11 – Pray for our USA staff as they continue to work hard on all of the graphic design work, prayer letters and accounting procedures, etc.

May 12 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh, our Member Care Director and his heavy workload. Pray that God might free him up to do more with CrossWay International. And pray for his ongoing prayer and support needs. (See his brochure here)

May 13 – On this Mother’s Day, pray for all the hard working moms around the world and that they not be maligned by certain world views that continually demean this very important work and ministry in the lives of children.

May 14 – Pray for our Field Director in Ethiopia, Melaku Abebe and for our team to visit them this coming October/November. Pray for the school we hope to start in Meki and for the ongoing prayer and support needs for this project and for him (See his brochure here)

May 15 – Pray for Francisco Caldera, our Field Director in Nicaragua, who has a lot of work to prepare for our upcoming Pastors Conference, missionary team, oversight of the next water well, feeding of needy kids and our cows and bulls. May 16 – Pray for Lorenzo Alfaro our youth worker in Nicaragua, as he will be working with some of the older teens who plan to come this July. Pray for his ongoing prayer and support needs. (for more on Lorenzo, clickhere)

May 17 – Pray for Roger Ali Rojas, our Financial Manager in Nicaragua as he continues to bring oversight and stability to our various ministries in this country. (See his brochure here)

May 18 – Pray for Isaac Zoedah, hour Field Director in Liberia who recently oversaw the work for a water well for the JAHZJET clinic. Pray for his ongoing prayer and support needs as he also cares for 50 of our orphans and needy kids. (See his brochure here)

May 19 – Pray for Josephus Gersinee who helps keep the books in Liberia. He serves full time as a pastor and has 7 children. As we grow, pray that we might be able to help him more.

May 20- Pray for Ken Gatithi, our Field Director for Kenya as he oversees the water well drilling ministry and the care for our 43 blind kids at the Kangundo Primary School. Pray too for his wife, Winnie and her role with our work in this country. (See his brochure here)

May 21 – Pray for Geoffrey Ndungu, our Drilling Director in Kenya and for the successful drilling of water wells in the coming months.

May 22 – Pray for Eric Long, a young man at Liberty University, who is making plans for a mission trip to Ethiopia this July. And pray for his possible long term involvement with CrossWay International. (Click to see his prayer letter )

May 23 – Pray that each of us would be bold in sharing our faith in Christ. For this to happen, we must be grounded in God’s word and it must have a meaningful place in our lives and heart. From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.

May 24 – Pray for more workers around the world to take the message of God’s grace to a lost and hurting world which is the passion of CrossWay International.

May 25 – Pray for more speaking and preaching opportunities for Dean and our missionaries as our ministry grows and expands. Pray for more open doors to share the gospel of Christ with others.

May 26- Pray that each of us would use wording that clearly reflects the gospel of God’s grace in our witness for Him and that we might encourage others to trust in Christ alone who died for our imperfections and rose from the dead.

May 27 – Pray for the swift spreading of the gospel around the world and that it might be honored even as it is among us.

May 28 – on this Memorial Day, may we remember those warriors who have fallen in battle to give us the freedom we enjoy in America and may we each be thankful and aware of this privilege.

May 29 – Pray for the safety of all our missionaries and coworkers around the world.

May 30 – Pray that we might have more faith to serve God in the various ways He is leading us here at CrossWay International with our Water wells, orphans and needy kids, medical clinics, animal husbandry, schools, Pastors Conferences and evangelistic events and tools.

May 31 – Pray that God might use all means above as a platform to take the clear presentation of the gospel of God’s grace to a lost and hurting world.

April 1 – Pray for Dean as he preaches the commissioning service for Gary Jones as our newest missionary in Camp Wood, Texas. Gary brings to CrossWay International a great deal of experience and abilities as our International Training Director. Pray that God might raise up his needed support quickly.  (For more info on Gary, click here)

April 2 – Pray for Joan’s full recovery from the issues she has with pain in her shoulders. Her doctor has decided to postpone any surgery and give the steroid shots more time to work.

April 3 Pray for Francisco Caldera, our Field Director in Nicaragua, as he has a herniated disc in his lower back and for his wife, Jasmina and kids. He is recovering and learning to let others carry some of the load.  (For more on Francisco, click here)

April 4 – Pray for Dean as he catches up on a lot of paperwork at the office after traveling so much in the past few months.

April 5 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh, our Member Care Director, as he makes plans for a trip to Nicaragua, to teach at our Pastors Conference in July with Gary Jones and Michael Bannon .  (For more on Bruce, click here)

April 6 – Pray for Merle Admire, as he makes plans to go to Nicaragua later this month and pick up the pipes we shipped last month to complete (finally) the well at Las Velasques. Pray for Merle’s support needs as he oversees this ministry.  (For more on Merle click here).

April 7 – Pray for Robert Messier, our part-time GM here in our office and Director for Nicaragua. He and Ann are faith based missionaries with CWI and are planning to take a team to Nicaragua on July 3 – 9 and if you are interested in this mission trip, please let Robert or Ann know. April 8 – Pray for Isaac Zoedah, our Field Director in Liberia, as he lines up a water well for a medical clinic in Bassa, Liberia and also for the care he oversees for some of our orphans and needy kids.  (For more on Isaac, click here) (See www.gocrosswaykids.org)

April 9 – Pray for our Field Director in Ethiopia, Melaku Abebe, and the team we hope to send to our Medical Clinic in Meki this coming October. We still need an M.D. to go on this trip if you know of a doctor who might join us.  (For more on Melaku, click here)

April 10 – Pray for Gary Jones as he leaves for Kenya to teach a Pastors Conference in the Nairobi area. This will be his first assignment overseas and we are delighted to see him take up this role and step of faith. Pray for his personal and ministry needs as he is a faith missionary depending on God to touch hearts of people to support this vital work and outreach.

April 11 – Pray for Ken Gatithi who serves as our Field Director and Finance Manager in Kenya. He is overseeing all the water well ministry in this country and also the care for our 40+ blind kids. We just bought $1,000 worth of Braille paper for these blind kids and hygiene items for them several weeks ago.  (For more on Ken, here)

April 12 – Pray for our expanding team as we look to take on Eric Long to work in Africa. Pray that this young man might find God’s clear leading and if it is God’s will for him to join with us in our outreach for the lost and hurting of the world. Right now he is planning a mission trip this July 14 – 31.

April 13 – Pray for Lorenzo Alfaro as he works as one of our faith missionaries in Nicaragua and for the sporting equipment he needs for the sports ministry to reach out to the youth of this needy country.
Also for the delivery of another laptop as his was stolen at gunpoint last month. (We can always use more laptops) (For more on Lorenzo, click here)

April 14 – Pray for Ali Rojas, our Financial Manager in Nicaragua, who continues to oversee various aspects of our ministry with maturity and professionalism. (For more on Ali, click here)

April 15 – Pray for Dean as he goes to Northwest Community Church to preach and report in to this supporting church. Pray that God will give him the message to bring that will meet needs and touch hearts.

April 16 – Pray for Gary Jones as he conducts his first Pastors Conference on 16, 17 and 18 of this month in Nairobi, Kenya. He will be bringing study Bibles to each of the 25 attending pastors. Pray that their hearts will be open and receptive.

April 17 – Pray for Josephus Gersinee, our Financial Manager in Liberia. He also serves as a pastor in this country and has 7 children.

April 18 – Pray for Joe Shepard, who assists us with overseeing the funds used in our various ministries oversees. He is a great asset and brings to CrossWay International some needed assistance in this area and beyond.

April 19 – Pray for Geoffrey Ndungu, our Drilling Director in Kenya, as he faces challenges regarding the loss of his wife and now raising his two kids on his own.

April 20 – Pray for Gary Jones again as he visits some of our orphans and needy kids (the blind ones) at the Kangundo Primary School in Kenya.

April 21 – Pray for Gary Jones as he dedicates the most recent water project for the widows in Kenya with a community and surrounding schools of with more than 2,000 people. Pray that many might put their trust in Christ alone for their salvation.

April 22 Pray for Gary Jones as he starts back from Kenya to the USA and that the Pastors Conference and the dedication for the water well project for the widows in Kenya went well.

April 23 – Pray for Robert Messier as he lines up all the various aspects for the upcoming mission trip to Nicaragua for the many members going this July 3-9. It’s not too late to sign up.

April 24 – Pray for our USA staff and all the hard and efficient work they do to keep us all up and running: Danielle, Joan, Robert and Rita.

April 25 – Pray for Dean’s possible trip to Kenya to attend the annual Board meeting for “Crossway International Kenya” and for a Pastors Conference in Busia area.

April 26 – Pray for all of our faith-based missionaries as they move forward in faith, trusting in God to provide to help us all reach a lost and hurting world.

April 27 – Pray for greater boldness, more laborers, more opportunities for each of us to share the message of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. –

April 28 – Pray for the school we plan to start soon in Ethiopia in the city of Meki. It will be for kids 4 to 6 years old and an effective outreach to share the gospel of God’s grace.

April 29 – Pray for Jamil Calero who attends the Rio Grande Bible Institute and hopes to return to Nicaragua to serve the Lord when he graduates.

April 30 – Pray that as we share the free gift of salvation offered by god that we might be clear and that this gospel might spread quickly.

March 1 – Pray for our ability to handle our expanding ministry in various areas of work and different countries. We are now very active in Kenya, Ethiopia, Liberia and Nicaragua and may go back to Tanzania soon.

March 2 – Dean leaves on his 4^th trip in five weeks.  Pray for his stamina as he heads to Virginia to participate in a missions conference with a supporting church.

March 3 – Pray for the 15 water wells we have on our list to drill this year. (6 in Nicaragua, 5 in Kenya and 4 in Liberia.) If you would like more details on these well sites, please email Dean and he will send you a full report.

March 4 Pray for Dean as he visits supporters in Virginia and also meets with a young man who may come with our mission organization.

March 5- Pray for Dean as he heads back home from Virginia and for all the various office work that is backing up when he travels.

March 6 – Pray for Gary Jones, our newest Candidate Missionary, as he begins to take on the oversight and training in the area of our Pastors Conferences. (For more info on Gary, click here)

March 7 – Pray for the medical mission team we are hoping to send later this year to Ethiopia to work in our new facilities in Meki and for other related ministries which will take place on this mission trip.

March 8 – Pray for Merle Admire who heads up our Water Well Drilling Ministry and his needed prayer and support. (For more on Merle click here).

March 9 – Pray for Mike Brooks and others who plan to go to Nicaragua in June and the plans for his church to build a church building possibly in San Benito.  Pray, too, for the proposed well in this village.

March 10 – Pray for the final completion of the well in Las Velasques, Nicaragua and for the shipping of pvc pipes which are scheduled to ship in late March.

March 11 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh and his plans to go to Nicaragua this summer.  He just returned from Ethiopia in January to help oversee all of our ministries in this country. (For more on Bruce, click here)

March 12 – Pray for the new well in Liberia on the orphanage where 15 of our 50 orphans in this country reside. And pray for Jefferson Zeon’s family who was the Director of this orphanage and died from cancer on Feb. 29. His wife, Helena, will assume this role with her two daughters, Jackie and Edwina.

March 13 – Pray for Robert and Ann Messier as they continue to develop the ministries which Robert oversees in Nicaragua. And pray for Jamil, one of their recruits who is wanting to come with CrossWay International full-time and for his studies at the Rio Grande bible Institute. March 14 – Pray for Joe Shepard, our Overseas Financial Consultant, as he makes plans to visit one of our countries to review their books.

March 15 – Pray for Joan Chollar, our Office Manager, as she looks into keyhole surgery to relieve the pain in her shoulders. Also pray for her eyes as she has been having floaters and flashes on her retinas in her vision.

March 16 – Pray for Robert Messier as he travels to the Rio Grande Bible Institute to see Jamil Calero and take care of his application to join CWI.

March 17 – Pray for Francisco Caldera, our Field Director in Nicaragua, as he handles a lot of details for us. Pray also that his recent move to his new location may give him greater freedom and also protection from some potential violence he was facing.   (For more on Francisco, click here)

March 26 Pray that God will reveal to each of us His vision and plans for the coming year and how we might work more effectively together.

March 27 – Pray for Dean as he looks to the Lord to touch hearts and provide the resources we need to move our ministry forward. The Lord has done some remarkable things and we look to Him to do even more this year.

March28 – Pray for greater boldness and opportunities to share the gospel of God’s grace to a lost and hurting world and to do it clearly without a lot of churchy phrases so that the person on the street cannot misunderstand God’s grace.

March29 – Pray for Dean as he speaks at the Texas Outdoor Life ministry meeting and shares with them how he shot his axis buck last January and uses it for an illustration of how to focus on spiritual things.

March 30 – Pray for more coworkers that might join our team and assist us in God’s Great Commission.

March 31 – Pray right now for someone God has brought into your path and how you might take a concrete step to reach out to them as a friend and maybe share the gospel with them: That Christ died for all their wrongs, was raised from the dead and offers eternal life to them as a free gift by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

We are sending this out a bit early as we know the Christmas season can get very busy. It is also this period of December/January that many give a special end-of-the-year gift. January 1 – Pray for our new year that the Lord is giving us to reach out to the lost and hurting world.

January 2 – Pray for our upcoming Pastors Conference and the 11 person-team headed to Nicaragua later this month. We have a lot of details to handle to prepare for this trip.

January 3 – Pray for Francisco Caldera, our Field Director for Nicaragua as he oversees and arranges our Pastors Conference, oversees the water well drilling ministry, the feeding center for needy kids, etc. See his brochure here.

January 4 – Pray for Melaku Abebe in Ethiopia. He is working on getting our license to open our medical clinic in this country and they keep adding things for this approval which is frustrating us. See his brochure here.

January 5 – Pray for Isaac Zoedah, our Field Director for Liberia. He is working on our NGO status in this country and overseeing the care and feeding of some of our orphans and needy kids. See his brochure here.

January 8 – Pray for Robert and Ann Messier. Robert serves as our American Director for Nicaragua and part-time as our General Manager here in the USA. He has been suffering from a health issue in his inner ear causing vertigo. And he oversees the work in Nicaragua. See their brochure here.

January 9 – Pray for Ken and Winnie Gatithi. Ken is the General Manager in Kenya and oversees our water well drilling ministry and the care of our blind orphans and needy kids.  See his brochure here.

January 10 – Pray for Merle Admire. He serves as our Regional Director overseeing all our water well ministries in Nicaragua, Kenya and Liberia where we are now actively involved. See his brochure here.

January 11 – Pray for Joe Shepard, our Overseas Financial Manager as he makes plans to visit the various active countries where we are ministering. He works along side of Robert Messier to keep all our books updated for our overseas ministry.

January 12 – Pray for greater boldness as we each have opportunities to share our faith. (Eph. 6:19, 20)

January 13 – Pray for Jefferson Zeon who cares for many of the orphans we help to feed and clothe in Liberia. He has been sick for over a year now and the doctors can’t figure out what is wrong. Please pray for his recovery.

January 14 – Pray for more workers around the world. Right now we are looking to take on 2 nurses and a lab technician for our clinicin Meki, Ethiopia but we will wait on the Lord to provide the income needed:  Senior nurse for $200 a month, $100 a month for a Junior nurse and $100 a month for a Lab Technician. (Luke 10:2)

January 15 – Pray for Ali Rojas in Nicaragua. He serves as our Financial Manager and Advisor in this country and is helping us with all our various ministries in Nicaragua. See his brochure here.

January 16 – Pray for more opportunities for each of us to share our faith in Christ. (Col. 4:3)

January 17 – Pray for JMT (Jeugd Met Toekomst = Youth With a Future).  This is the youth organization we helped to start many years ago in Belgium and it is still ministering to the youth of this country. Pray for Kristof Thijs and his wife Sarah who are leading it.

January 18 – Pray also for Francois Thijs, Dean’s good friend from Belgium and faithful translator and coworker who had his hip replaced last November. Pray that he fully recovers.

January 19 – Pray for Fernando Diaz, our coworker in Spain and for a time for Dean to visit him. He is involved with evangelism with a radio station and church planting near Madrid.

January 20 – Pray for the clear presentation of the gospel of God’s grace and that unbeliever’s might grasp the free grace of God’s love and salvation.

January 21 – Pray for our former Administrative Assistant, Anna Ochoa (Anna Cabana), who is entering her acting career and will be on commercials for Taco Cabana soon.

January 22 – Pray for Danielle Ware who is replacing much of what Anna Ochoa used to do for her. She is a quick learner and there is much to learn.

January 23 – Pray for our Coffee Ministryas we evaluate how to proceed and also for Sherry Zule who works hard in this ministry.

January 24- Pray for our 11 member team leaving on this date for Nicaragua. We will be holding a Pastors Conference, evangelizing in several locations, holding children’s and women’s meetings and working on the water well in Las Velasques and future sites such as San Benito for wells.

January 25 – Pray for all the logistics regarding the various locations we plan to visit: Masaya, Managua, and Matagalpa in Nicaragua.

January 26 – Pray for Dean as he lines up his travels for the coming year. He hit over 100,000 miles with one airline last year and he isn’t getting any younger!

January 27 – Pray that the Lord might raise up the right person to assist Dean more in the ministry.

January 28 – Pray for Joan and Rita who handle so much of the office work. Joan is also facing possible surgery for some bone spurs in her shoulders.

January 29 – Pray for the spreading of the gospel through the various platforms we are building for the purpose of gaining a hearing for the gospel

January 30 – Pray for the safety of those on the mission trip to Nicaragua and around the world too.

January 31 – Stop right now and pray for someone you might know who needs Christ and a concrete step you might take to connect with them in a loving manner.

We are trusting the Lord to help the lost and hurting in Nicaragua, Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.

Also, to finish paying off just the drilling of the well in Las Velasques, Nicaragua, we are looking to the Lord for an additional $6500 as we had to go down to 410 feet. Ouch! Then we will need an electric pump and water tank on a tower to provide clean safe drinking water for 200 families of this community.

Special prayer request for this month: Our Medical Clinic in Ethiopia is in the final approval stages by the Health Department. (It’s been like pulling teeth to work with this government agency). We are facing some significant challenges financially to complete this project and for the ongoing costs of a nurse and technician. Please pray with us as we look to the Lord to help the many kids in the city of Meki, Ethiopia.

December 1 – Pray for Isaac Zoedahand Josephus Gersinee, our two coworkers in Liberia. Isaac continues to serve the orphans and needy kidsand to develop our water well ministryin this country.

December 2 – Pray for our CrossWay Coffee Ministry which helps to support our various ministries; orphans, water wells, etc.  The last day to order and ship coffee gift baskets is December 9.  And the last day to order  and pick up coffee gift baskets locally here at our office is December 15.

December 3 – Pray for Melaku and Sosi Abebe in Ethiopia. And pray that the Lord will provide the extra support needed to cover the costs for a manager, 2 nurses and a lab technician. ($750 a month total)

December 4 – Pray for Francisco Caldera in Nicaragua as he assumes his responsibilities as Field Director overseeing the water well ministry, arranging pastors’ conferences and team visits, etc.

December 5 – Pray for Ali Rojas, our new Financial Manager in Nicaragua. He desires to be full-time with CrossWay International and we are looking to the Lord for his prayer and support needs.

December 6 – Pray for Dean as he heads off to his old stomping grounds in Belgium to see his dear old friends and visit with them regarding their efforts in evangelism.

December 7 – Pray for Francois Thijs who has had a recent hip replacement (left side) and is my key contact in Belgium who will be assisting me when I come.

December 8 – Pray for Jefferson Zeon. He heads up the orphanage in Monrovia, Liberia and has been sick for over a year with an undiagnosed illness.

December 11 – Pray for Dean as he preaches in the Bilzen Church in Belgium and challenges hearts in the area of leadership and evangelism.

December 12 – Pray for Dean as he returns from Belgium and that his trip may have encouraged the Belgians in their evangelism.

December 13 – Pray for our coworker, Lorenzo Alfaro, in Nicaragua and his work with many teenagers and our plans for our upcoming mission trip this January.

December 14 – Pray for Ken and Winnie Gatithi, our newest missionaries in Kenya.  Ken also serves as our General Manager overseeing our water well drilling ministry, and our 40+ blind orphans and needy kids in that country.

December 15 – Pray for Geoffrey Ndungu, our Drilling Director in Kenya. He lost his precious wife a number of months ago and still has two teenage kids to raise.

December 16 – Pray for Merle Admire, our Regional Director who is responsible for overseeing all of our water well projects in 3 countries: Kenya, Nicaragua and Liberia. Pray for his support needs so he can travel more often to these countries.

December 17 – Pray for Robert and Ann Messier. Robert serves part-time as our General Manager here in our office and as our American Director for Nicaragua. He and Ann are making plans for our group mission trip to Nicaragua this Jan. 24-30 with all of its details. Pray for their support needs so they can do more as our missionaries.

December 18 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh, our Member Care Director, and his travel plans overseas. Pray too for his support needs which will enable him to do more.

December 19 – Pray for Joe Shepard, our Overseas Financial Manager and for his plans to travel overseas to encourage our other coworkers and provide the needed oversight of all our accounting for all our projects.

December 20 – Pray for the support needs at CrossWay International. It is typical for our donations to wane in the summer and we are looking to the Lord to give us some altitude in this area so we can hit the ground running in January. We saw a 4 percent increase in our donations last fiscal year in spite of the difficult economy.

December 21 – As we prepare for the Christmas holiday period, pray for ways to engage various people we know who need Christ.  It may be a family member or just an acquaintance.  God gives us opportunities and we need to stay alert to them.

December 22 – Pray that we may each overcome the fear we have to share our faith in Christ, not in a rude fashion, but in a bold manner as his ambassador.

December 23 – Pray for Joan who continues to have pain in her arms. She may need surgery, but we aren’t certain, yet.

December 24 – Pray for Danielle Ware who is assuming much of the work that Anna did for us. And pray for Anna as she transitions over to her new work at her church in San Antonio.

December 25 – Pray that we all might reflect on the momentous occasion when the heavens were torn and the Christ Child entered our world as our Savior. Amazing love!

December 26 – Pray for more workers and the needed support for those with CrossWay International. The harvest is truly great, but the laborers few.

December 27 – Pray for the clarity of the gospel of God’s grace that many who attend our pastors conferences might learn to be more clear. It can be just as important what you don’t say as what you do say when proclaiming the grace of God.

December 28 – Pray for the spreading of the gospel that it would spread swiftly and be honored.

December 29 – Pray for the safety of those who are in harm’s way as they go to share the gospel.

December 30 – Pray for someone you know right now that does not know Christ and one concrete step you might take to engage him/her with the love of Christ and the gospel.

December 31 – Reflect on the past year and how you might look to God to trust him more with a greater part of your life and commitment to him as a believer.

November 1 – Pray for Dean, Bruce McIntosh, and Joe Shepard as they will be traveling to Nairobi, Kenya and should arrive late tonight on this date.

November 2 – Pray for Merle Admire as he takes a greater role in overseeing our water well ministry and lines up teams to visit the mission field. Pray, too, for his needed prayer and support so he can be more available for our ministry and God’s calling in his life.

November 3 -5 – Pray for Dean, Bruce, and Joe as they teach 50 pastors at the Pastors Conference we are sponsoring.  Pray that the pastors will be receptive and that our lessons will be practical and well received.

November 6 – Pray for us as we three head back home to the “good old USA” and that we might have opportunities to share our faith in Christ during this travel time.

November 7 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh, our Member Care Director, and the vital roles he has within CrossWayInternational. Pray for his prayer and support needs, too, that God might touch hearts and raise up his monthly support to allow him to be more available to carry out more fully the work of his ministry with us.

November 8 – Pray for Robert and Ann Messier, who are both heavily involved in our work in Nicaragua. Robert is overseeing various aspects in this country such as: our water well ministry, lining up mission trips for the upcoming pastors conference and Ann is doing the same with the lady’s and children’s ministry in Nicaragua. They also face some challenges regarding their prayer and support needs.

November 9 – Pray for Joe Shepard, our Overseas Financial Manager. He is semi-retired and giving a great deal of time and teaching in the whole area of finances with a biblical view as applied to different cultures. It is a complicated task and he is doing a great job.

November 10- Pray for Danielle Ware who is replacing Anna Ochoa as our Executive Assistant. She is learning her job quickly and well. Pray too for Anna as she becomes more involved in the Creative Arts department of her own church.

November 11 – Pray for the CrossWay Coffee Ministry and for Sherry Zule, the manager over this ministry. She is gearing up for orders for gift baskets as the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays approach.

November 12 – Pray for Joan who oversees much of the office work and especially for the pain in her arms. Pray that we might find out exactly what is causing this and how best to treat it.

November 13 – Pray for Rita Chapman who takes care of our books here at CWI. She continues to do a great job with all our financial questions in a very professional manner.

November 14 – Pray for our water well ministry in Kenya as both Ken Gatithi (our General Manager) and Geoffrey Ndungu (our Drilling Director) continue to do a great job. And a special thanks to all who prayed for Geoffrey recently who was robbed while out drilling one of our wells and for the laptop and camera given to replace what he lost.

November 15   - Pray for Isaac Zoedah, (our Field Director) and Josephus Gersinee (assistant) in Liberia who are setting up our ministries to provide wells and care for orphans in this war-torn country. Pray too for their support needs, especially for Isaac who wants to be full-time with us.

November 16 – Pray for the ministry of Francisco Caldera, our Field Director in Nicaragua, as he learns to carry out and lead our various ongoing ministries in this country. Pray too that his prayer and support base will continue to grow and thanks to those who have recently taken him on for support!

November 17 –  Pray for the water well ministry in Nicaragua and our first water well in the Las Velasques community. Pray for follow up on the 70 new believers we were able to lead to faith in Christ alone, on Dean’s last visit there.

November 18 – Pray for our Board meeting and the various issues that must be decided and keep these 11 individuals in your prayers.

November 19 – Pray for Lorenzo Alfaro, who is heading up our youth outreach efforts in Nicaragua. He is just getting started with us and we are looking to God to touch hearts and raise up his needed prayer and support. He has 30 teenagers right now learning evangelistic type skits to work with our teams on mission trips.

November 20 – Pray for Ali Rojas, who is also new with CWI and is hoping to come full-time with us to work alongside Francisco. He works in a bank right now and has already assisted us with a number of difficult financial matters.

November 21 – Pray for the community of San Benito in Nicaragua. We were planning to drill a well there and still hope to do that, but recently a father, mother and child were shot to death from a rare political struggle and we are looking at how best to proceed at this point with the pastor in this village.

November 22 – Pray for Melaku Abebe, our Field Director in Ethiopia. He has been working hard to get our Medical Clinic approved by the health department of this country and it is presenting some difficult challenges. We have a nurse now who has agreed to work in the clinic and a lab tech too but it all has to be approved by the government. Pray for Melaku’s support needs too as this is becoming financially more difficult with all these costs.

November 23 – Pray for our main passion at CrossWay International: “To take the clear presentation of the gospel of God’s grace to a lost and hurting world.” This is the core value and focus of our ministry which we will preserve at all costs.

November 24 – Thanksgiving – Pray that we all might be thankful for not only what God has given us but for God Himself and all that He is.

November 25 – Pray for our plans and strategies at CWI which do sometimes change which we use as a platform to gain a hearing for the gospel of God’s grace and love.

November 26 – Pray for our plans to drill water wells focusing on 3 countries: Kenya, Nicaragua and Liberia. We are making good progress but you have to crawl first, then, walk and then run. We should be up to 8 to 9 completed water wells by this date for this calendar year.

November 27 – Pray for our plans to care for orphans and needy kids in 4 countries: Kenya, Ethiopia, Liberia and Nicaragua. In total, we have some 150 kids we are presently helping with their food, clothes, medicine and education.

November 28- Pray for the medical needs of all those we minister to in all these countries. Most of these countries have many who have no real access to quality health care or else they are too poor to obtain it, especially the mothers and children.

November 29 – Pray for our plans to continue to sponsor Pastors Conferences as many in these countries do not have much formal training in the Bible. Pray too for the teachers we need for this work.

November 30- Pray for all our many prayer partners who are faithful in bringing us before the throne of God’s grace and for all their generous support to make all this possible. We at CrossWay International love you all and remain in your debt for all the love you have shown us for so many years.

October 2 – Pray for our visit to Wayside Chapel as we present our ministry and report all that the Lord is doing through our partnership together.

October 3 – Pray for Bruce and Debbie McIntosh. Bruce serves as our Member Care Director and teacher at Pastors’ Conferences. Their home in Pennsylvania was flooded twice last month, and this has really been hard on them. October 6 – Pray for Robert Messier, our General Manager, at our CrossWay office (only part-time). He is taking on more work here, as well as his mission work in Nicaragua. October 7: Pray also for Robert Messier as he pursues his degree at Moody Bible Institute.  It’s been some time since he was back in school. J

October 8 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh as he also continues raising the awareness for his prayer and support needs. He serves as our Member Care Director, as well as one of our Directors on our Board in Kenya. He has about 10 percent of his needed support and we could really use him full-time.

October 9 – Pray for greater fearlessness on all our parts to take the message that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone to a lost and hurting world.

October 10 – Pray for Joe Shepard, another missionary with CWI who serves as our overseas Financial Manager.  He is a great worker and reassures all that finances are being used correctly around the world where we are actively busy.

October 12 – Pray, also, for Lorenzo Alfaro, who has just joined CWI as a candidate missionary. He is full of energy and has 30 teenagers who he is training.  He is also assisting Francisco in the research for our first water well in Nicaragua.

October 13 – Pray for Isaac Zoedah, our new Field Director in Liberia, as he is starting his work to gather names and prayer support for his new position. He is very experienced in the work and overseeing our first water well at a Christian School near Monrovia, the 15^th Gate School.

October 14 – Pray for the new Executive Assistant to replace our dear coworker Anna Ochoa.  And pray for her new ministry at her home church as she develops their Performance and Drama ministry there.

October 15- Pray for smooth transitions as some are leaving CWI and others are joining our team.

October 16 – Pray for our focus here at CWI that we remain steadfast in preserving our core value of taking the message of God’s grace (the gospel) to a lost and hurting world.

October 17- Pray for Ken Gatithi, our General Manager in Kenya, and for all the great work he is doing for us in his oversight of our ministry there.

October 18 – Pray for Geoffrey Ndungu, our Drilling Director in Kenya, as he manages the drilling team to bring clean and safe drinking water to the lost and hurting of this country.

October 19 – Pray for Joan Chollar, as she suffers from some kind of mysterious pain in her arms. Pray that we will figure this out and get the proper treatment so she can sleep better at night.

October 20- Pray for Isaac Zoedah and Josephus Gersinee (Financial Manager) in Liberia as they pull our team together in this country to build platforms from which we can gain a hearing for the gospel.

October 21- Pray for Fernando Diaz in Spain and for time for Dean to travel there and be more involved in evangelism.

October 22 – Pray for Dean’s travel schedule. This calendar year he will travel more than 100,000 miles with just one of the airlines he uses.  Pray for his stamina and health.

October 23 – Pray for Dean as he preaches at a church north of the Seattle area and for a time to encourage hearts in the area of missions.

October 24 – Pray for more workers in God’s harvest as we grow and take on more coworkers. Pray especially that they would be disciplined in their thoughts and actions for the glory of the Lord.

October 25 – Pray that as we each have opportunity, we would make clear that salvation is an absolute free gift provided by the death of Christ on the cross and his resurrection, and that it is only through trusting in Christ that a person can be saved.

October 26 – Pray for the spreading of the gospel, that it would spread swiftly and be honored even as it is among us.

October 27 – Pray for the safety of those taking the message of the gospel to less than friendly areas of the world.

October 28- Pray for more opportunities for each one of us to share God’s gospel of grace.

October 29 – Pray for our CrossWay Coffee Ministry as we are seeing some slowdown in orders and that the Coffee Baskets might be ordered in great numbers to help us with the Orphans and Needy Kids Ministry.

October 30 – Pray for Dean, Bruce McIntosh, and Joe Shepard as we leave for Kenya to teach at a Pastors’ Conference which we are sponsoring for 50 pastors in the Nairobi area.

September 1 – Pray for 6 year old Rachel Mann who was diagnosed with morphea several months ago. She is the daughter of Allen and Sheree Mann.  Allen is one of our key pastors who teaches at our pastors’ conferences, and he serves as a pastor at Ponderosa Bible Church.

September 2 – Pray for Robert Messier’s recovery from knee surgery.

September 3 – Pray for the stamina of Dean, as he is now into his travel schedule again. He doesn’t seem to be getting any younger!

August 1 – Pray for our Nicaragua coworker, Francisco Caldera, as he is recovering from a bad case of thrombosis.  This can be a life-threatening condition if a blood clot breaks loose and lodges in his lung or heart.

August 7 – Pray for Pam Palmer and Ann Messier as they develop the Children’s Ministry and the Women’s Ministry in Nicaragua.  On the last trip, they had over 150 kids come to faith in Christ.

August 8 – Pray for Dean as he makes another trip this month (his third this year) to Nicaragua to provide some leadership to the ongoing work and ministry in Nicaragua.

August 12 – Pray for Ken Gatithi, our Financial Manager overseeing the water well drilling ministry in Kenya, as well as the care for our 40 blind kids at the Kangundo Primary School.

August 13 – Pray for Joe and Barb Shepard, as Joe has applied to join CrossWay International as one of our missionaries. He is already playing a key role in assisting us in the oversight of the finances of all our overseas projects and is doing a great job.  He plans to go to Kenya in November and perhaps Ethiopia as well.

August 14 – Pray for CrossWay International in general as we look to make some changes.  Also, August tends to be a time for low donations as many go off on vacation.

August 15 – Pray for greater fearlessness as each of us has opportunities to share their faith with others in a Spirit-led manner.

August 16 – Pray for the many Pastors who have attended our Pastors’ Conferences overseas and that we might continue to train and minister to them.

August 17 – Pray for God’s leading as we take on more laborers with CrossWay International, both in the USA and overseas.

August 18 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh (and his wife, Debbie) as he serves as our Member Care Director. He is also going to Kenya in late October/early November to teach at our Pastors’ Conference scheduled for November 3- 5.

August 19 – Pray for more opportunities for each of us to share the gospel of God’s grace.

August 20 – Pray for Merle Admire, one of our Regional Directors, as he has made several trips to Nicaragua and now plans to come to Kenya in November to assist with our general water well drilling ministry and preach.

August 21- Pray for the clarity of the gospel of God’s grace as each of encounters opportunities to share our faith.  Pray that we might make clear that it is not by the sweat of man but by the blood of Christ that one is saved.

August 22 – Pray for our accounting team here in Texas and for all the hard work they do in overseeing and verifying all expenses.  Rita, our Accountant, continues to keep everything in order and is doing a great job.

August 23 – Pray for Bob Nicol, an Engineer, as he advises our team in our water well drilling ministry. Pray that his prayer and support needs might increase and allow him to travel to Kenya and/or Liberia.

August 24— Pray for the swift spreading of the gospel and that it might be honored and well-received as God gives us opportunity through our various ministries and projects.

August 25 – Pray for Sherry Zule, our CrossWay Coffee Manager, as August tends to be a slow month for coffee drinkers.  This special ministry helps in providing food, clothes and medicines for our many orphans and needy kids. (To order coffee, go to www.crosswaycoffee.org   )

August 26 – Pray for our USA staff and all the great work they do in the running of our office, from graphic work for our prayer letters, helping Dean stay on schedule and pack for trips, and many other aspects involved in staying organized.

August 27 – Pray for Lawson Sampson in Nigeria and Fernando Diaz in Spain.  It has been some time since Dean has made it to these two countries, and he hopes to visit Spain sometime in January.

August 28 – Pray for the safety of all of us who travel to foreign countries where things don’t tend to be as safe as here in the USA.  But may we all remember that we are safer in the middle of God’s will no matter where we may travel.

August 29 – Pray for Bethany Wainio, Dean and Joan’s youngest daughter as she is due to deliver her third son (and our 13^th grandchild) in late September.

August 30 – Pray for the lost in your circle of friends, family, and acquaintances.  Give some thought of how you might share with them the CrossWay Gift Cube, which is an excellent evangelistic tool and easy to use.  (For more information, see http://gocrossway.org/about/store/products/9-gift-cube/  )

August 31—Pray for Robert Messier as he starts Moody Bible Institute in September.

Special praise and prayer requests:
We were able to drill 3 wells in Kenya in 3 weeks!  Thanks to those of you who helped with prayers and support that helped us purchase an air compressor and air hammer. What a blessing. What we need now is a 5 ton truck to mount it on. We have been renting a 40-year-old truck, and it is very difficult to get the compressor on and off the truck since it weighs 2.5 tons!  So please pray that God might bless us with the needed $15,000 for a good used 5-ton truck on which we can permanently mount this compressor.

July 1 – Pray for Joan as she leaves for Montana to visit our daughter and her family, including 4 of our granddaughters.  She is to return on July 13.

July 2 – Pray for the remaining items we need for our Medical Clinic in Meki, Ethiopia. We have bought most of the things but still lack a number of items to be fully licensed to operate this clinic. I’ll be posting a list of these items soon on our website.

July 3 – Pray for Dean as he preaches in Boerne and challenges the church to answer their call that God has given each of us.

July 4 – Pray that many might understand not only the freedom we have in the USA but the great freedom we have in Christ to serve him.

July 5 – Robert and Ann Messier’s team returns from Nicaragua.  Pray for safe travel back to Texas.

July 6 – Pray for the follow-up needed for the recent trips made by those of CrossWay to Liberia, Kenya, and Nicaragua.

July 7 – Pray for Merle Admire and the wells we are trying to drill in Nicaragua. Merle has made 2 trips in 3 weeks to try and arrange the paperwork and make decisions on all this.  He is doing a great job, and we hope to have 2 wells drilled soon!

July 8 – Pray for Southern Sudan as it announces its independence and the impending violence that might occur. Pray for our orphans in this region who have all been taken into various families in and around Adoor, Sudan.

July 9 – Pray for Bob Nicol, a missionary with CWI, and his possible trip to Liberia to help set up our ministry in this country. Pray for his support needs, as his account with CWI is quite low.

July 10 – Pray for Dean as he preaches in Pipe Creek, Texas and challenges the church to answer God’s calling for each of them.

July 11 – Pray for greater boldness (not rudeness) as each of us seek God’s leading to share our faith in Christ.

July 12 – Pray for Isaac and Rachel Zoedah as we take them on as coworkers in Liberia to help us with the care for around 50 orphans and needy kids.  Our new website will be up and running soon at www.gocrosswaykids.org

July 13 – Pray for Bruce McIntosh, our Member Care Director, and his support needs so that he might be more fully involved with our mission outreach program.

July 14 – Pray for the clarity of the gospel as we proclaim that it is not good people who go to heaven, but forgiven people.

July 15 – Pray for our new website we hope to have up soon: www.gocrosswaykids.org It should reflect the recent changes as we take on blind kids and orphans in Kenya and orphans and needy kids in Ethiopia and Liberia.

July 16- Pray for Rafa Rivas and Francisco Caldera in Nicaragua who provide so much of the work and infrastructure needed for various works which we do in this country.

July 17- Pray for the support needs for our missionaries (Robert and Ann Messier, Bruce McIntosh, Bob Nicol and Merle Admire). They are all contributing valuable help in reaching the lost.

July 18- Pray for more workers in God’s harvest and for clear guidance on how to move forward in an effective manner to reach the lost.

July 19 – Pray for more orders for our CrossWay Gift Cube and orders for our CrossWay coffee which helps to support our outreach to orphans and needy kids. www.crosswaycoffee.org

July 20 – Pray for another Pastors’ Conference in August in Nicaragua with Joe Falkner and Allen Mann.

July 21 – Pray for more opportunities for each of us to share the gospel of God’s grace— that salvation is not by the sweat of man but by the blood of Christ.

July 22 – Pray for a continued good team spirit among our USA staff: Dean (CEO), Robert (General Manager – part time), Anna (Executive Assistant), Sherry (CrossWay Coffee Manager), Rita (Accountant) and Joan (Office Manager).

July 23 – Pray for Dean as he lines up his speaking engagements and travel plans for the next couple of Quarters.

July 24 – Pray for the needed 5-ton truck to mount our air compressor on in Kenya.

July 25 – Pray that God might raise up the needed funds to drill more wells for the truly needy in Kenya, Nicaragua, and Liberia.

July 26 – Pray that we might all clearly proclaim the gospel, that it is not our good works that save us but the bad things we do that can keep us from heaven.   And that is why Christ came to die in our place and then rose from the dead.

July 27 – Pray for Bruce and Debbie McIntosh as they fly from Pennsylvania to Texas. Bruce will be meeting with various staff members and missionaries as our Member Care Director.

July 28 – Pray for all those who are in harm’s way as they travel and share the gospel of God’s grace.

July 29 – Pray that the gospel will spread swiftly and that it might be honored even as it is among us.

July 30 – Pray for Ken Gatithi and Geoffrey Ndungu, our coworkers in Kenya, as they make some important decisions regarding our well drilling ministry in Kenya.

July 31 – Pray for each of us to pray about taking concrete steps to engage those around us to share the gospel of God’s grace with them.  (By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.)
