Dear brothers and sisters, would you pray for God’s protection and growth:
- the safety of our coworkers from thieves!
- the safety of everyone in Kenya as protests continue!
- the growth of the widow’s avocado seedlings
- the growth of our pastor training networks
- the full recovery of Isaac from cheek surgery

Thieves

Shown here is the picture from the CCTV security camera of thieves trying to break in to our field director, Moses’ family home this past week. We are thankful that our security measures were able to keep them out and scare them off. It is still a very scary thing, though, to wake up in the middle of the night to the sounds of people trying to find a way past the walls and into your home. It is even scarier in a country where the police are likely to NOT show up for hours if you call them!
We thank God for his divine protection and pray for it to continue. We also pray for wisdom and provision as we consider if any additional security measures would be wise!
Protests

Meanwhile, across the country, but especially in Nairobi, protestors are clashing daily with goverment security forces. Young people especially are very upset about proposed tax increases from President Ruto and his government. Even though the proposed bill has been withdrawn, protests continue.
Melissa and Jason have a trip scheduled for next month, so we are hoping that things settle down between now and then, but it is hard to say.
Please pray for PEACE!
Seedlings
Moses and his team are in the process of visiting the widows and checking in on their advocado seedlings. Pray that the advocado seedlings would thrive, for the blessing of the widows and their families!

Pastors

Above is a visual representation of the locations that our team has done pastoral training seminars since January 2023. Please pray that we would be able to be a true blessing to these pastors. Pray for wisdom about the best way to continue to bless them and network them together. Pray that the truths from scripture go down deep and are a blessing to these pastors and the communities they serve. Pray for the marriages and families of these pastors and their churches.
Isaac’s Recovery

Here is the report from our assistant field director, Isaac Mathembe:
“I had a small surgery on my cheek to remove what the doctor called a cyst. It was the second time I did this after the previous one two and a half years ago.I asked the doctor why it re-ocurred and he said it wasn’t well removed.
After analysis, the doctor concluded that it wasn’t cancerous and that it would take only two-three weeks to heal. I am healing very well and today marks exactly two weeks after the procedure. Thank you for your prayers and the support that I got from Crossway. I am supposed to go for a review or check-up just for the doctor to confirm am OK, but for me I feel just fine.
God bless and again am so much grateful.
Isaac.”
