Our Laguna de Apoyo campus isn’t directly connected to paved roads (shown in white on the map). The main road that runs through the community is a dirt road that turns to mud during the rainy season, which is about half of the year. We are working in cooperation with the community and the government to see if we can’t get the main road through our neighborhood paved. This kind of one-time infrastructure improvement can have a lasting long-term impact on the entire community, including our school campus. We are hoping if we all work together we can improve things for the entire community for the long term.
