Jason and Melissa and the team just wrapped up the 5 day marriage conference. In this conference, they led the team of Kenyans in teaching OTHER Kenyan Pastors and their wives, about how to share the gospel and how to live out the gospel in their marriages and pass it on to others. The responses from the pastors and their wives were very encouraging. Not only was the content excellent (as we have heard before), but THIS time they feel that they have truly internalized the content. And perhaps MORE importantly, they say they now feel confident that they can use this new method of teaching in order to pass it on in THEIR communities!

Over the coming weeks, we hope to have reports and pictures of these pastors and their wives doing exactly that!

In our post about CHE TOT 2 (Community Health Evangelism: Training of Trainers level 2), we explained that Jason & Melissa, Moses & Edith, Isaac & Tabitha were just trained in the Community Health Evangelism model. One of the cornerstones of their program is a teaching methodology called LePSAS – – Learner-centered, Problem-posing, Self-Discovery, Action-oriented, Spirit-led. They learned this LePSAS method and then immediately put it to use, training others … and equipping those they trained, to teach others.  And now we are seeing that very thing in action!

Morning Devotions as a group

Our team has plans to hold marriage conferences in Isinya and Kyamathyaka in the next couple of weeks, with more being planned for beyond that as well!

Please pray that these times are fruitful and transformational!
