“We have never heard that before”..

The Fields Remain White Unto Harvest

Special Prayer Request:

  • Pray for all the new believers in Kenya. After preaching the gospel, I asked those in the community of Maganjo who were gathered to hear me preach, “Is this a new message for you?”  They all agreed it was something they had never heard before.  And when I gave the invitation to trust in Christ alone for their salvation, many indicated they had put their faith in Christ alone instead of their works or own goodness.  This same scenario played out over and over again in the communities we visited.
  • Please pray for those new believers in Maganjo (with 445 responses); Matuto (with 110 responses); 28 Widows in Gachirio with (7 responses); Ndugo (with 112 responses); Pastors/Leadership Conference in Ruiru (with3 responses); Church in Ruiru (with 2 responses ); Open Air Preaching in Ruiru (with 11 responses).

First Week of June

  • The team will be headed back from Kenya.  Pray for a safe return for Bob, Dave, Sam and Dean and for follow-up for the Pastors who were taught at the conference and the many who came to faith in Christ at the evangelistic events mentioned above.
  • Pray for Ken, our Field Director in Kenya, who did an outstanding job again in lining up the Pastors Conference and various evangelistic events.
  • Pray for Isaac Zoedah, our Field Director in Liberia, who continues his hard work and oversight of our 174 students at the CrossWay Christian School.  Pray for the support to put up more permanent type buildings.  For more on this, go to Isaac’s prayer letter at, https://gocrossway.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/May-2016-Prayer-Letter-1.pdf

Second Week of June

  • Pray for Francisco Caldera, our Field Director in Nicaragua.  Pray especially for his wife Jazmina, who is receiving treatment for her cancer.
  • Pray for Gary Jones, our International Director, who is planning two mission trips this summer, to Nicaragua and to Peru. Please pray that God will provide the $5,000 needed for these trips.
  • Pray for Melaku Abebe, our Field Director in Ethiopia, who is praying for sufficient funds to take our school in Meki to a stronger position.  We have 237 students now at this school.

Third Week of June

  • Pray for Dean who goes to Virginia to teach the Make It Clear! Seminar and preach.  He will be preparing 11 of our team members to go to Nicaragua to serve this August.

Fourth Week of June

  • Pray for Dean who goes to Nicaragua this week to minister and prepare things for the team from Virginia.
  • Pray for Bruce McIntosh, our International Training Specialist, as he continues writing a discipleship booklet we hope to use in our work with churches where we minister.  Also, he is looking into arranging an opportunity for Dean to teach the Make It Clear seminar in his area of Pennsylvania.  And please pray for Bruce’s wife, Debbie, as her doctor is trying to determine the source of some of her recent medical issues.
